My idea of Quality;

   I’m a perfectionist. I really like to build small and smooth parts of my knives. This trend affects also my raw material choice. I’m very demanding regarding quality of the tools, suppliers and devices I’m using.

   In order to have consistent quality in my knives, I’ve selected a limited number of steels I work with. I quench the blade by myself in an electrical furnace and presently restrict my steel availability to 440C, RWL34, ATS34 or D2.

   After some researches, I’ve decided to keep a short list of materials: stainless steel for blade, titanium and G10 or Micarta for scales and handles.

   I have also selected Titanium because it’s a totally rustless metal, light and with very good mechanical properties. It’s needed for the spring effect in liner lock and frame lock knives.

   To have nice looking but also strong finish I’m always improving my procedures and devices. Well ageing knives is my target.

   My work also includes ergonomics and designs. Those unit are sometimes hard to combine but presently a need to get high level knives. The perfect knife doesn't exist because of the several way to use them. But specifics knives must be close to users wish.

   One of my most popular knife – the PPT – designed with Perrin and Perotti has been developed with this method.
